Uh so many reasons why I deserve these. But the one unfortunate fact is I was given a pink slip by the City of Costa Mesa and this will brighten my week!
Wow! 50 restaurants!!! As a proud denizen of Anaheim, I am constantly being asked “Where are the best restaurants?” I feel I should win – as a public service. What better way to be an unofficial Foody Smartypants?
I am not a Yelp elite member for nothing — I write a lot of thoughtful reviews and am the go-to person for advice on where to eat in my group of friends. I already like several of the eateries who are coming (California Pizza Kitchen, House of Blues, La Brea Bakery, Rainforest Cafe, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill, Ruby’s Diner, Slater’s 50/50 Burger By Design, The Melting Pot) and have been meaning to try a few of the others at which I have yet to eat (Alcatraz Brewing Company, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Canyon Neighborhood Restaurant and Bar, Fire & Ice, K’ya Street Fare, Noble Ale Works, Storytellers Cafe, Wine Country Trattoria).
Hard to say anyone deserves them more any anyone else. We all have a story. I wish to win but happy that someone gets to after all Good luck to us all.
YUMMMM! I have Thursday off work and I can’t think of a better way to spend the evening. 50 restaurants at the same venue? Score!
Hi there, I believe I deserve to win the tickets because I really need a night out with my husband. WE have been going through some rough times and he is under a lot of pressure and I would really love to enjoy this night with him. I have been praying hard for us to have an opportunity to spend some quality time together, without the kids. Thanks for letting me share. Courtney Lima
I have a cast on my leg. It would be so nice to get out. I am really starting to get cabin fever. We are also new to the OC and this would give us a chance to enjoy some local eats!
I’ve been unemployed for fifteen months, and my Cobra went from 400.00 to 1400.00 a month this month and next month and will run out of insurance at the end of June, which has left us cutting back on going out to dinner and entertainment. This would really lift up our spirits if we win. thank you. Beverly Asleson
Anaheim is one of the oldest and largest cities in Orange County. It stands to reason that it may well also have the *best* “Taste of”!
Sounds delicious!! We would love to get out and enjoy the Taste of Anaheim this Thursday!! I wanted to go before but the twins are already utilizing all of our dollars.. ha 🙂
My aunt is coming in from Tucson, AZ and it would be a GREAT surprise to take her to Taste! Thank you and good luck to all
mmmm i’ve lived in anaheim my whole life and i’ve never heard of this. where have i been??? it would be awesome to win a pair of tix for this. it’s my bf’s birthday on the 13th and we’re both starving fulltime students. i’m gonna keep my fingers crossed 🙂
I have been wanting to check out Taste of Anaheim. I”m a foodie & proud of it. I’d like to enter to win! Thank you!
We all deserve to win but if I win, I am going to ride my bike down to the Gardenwalk so that I leave a parking space for another attendee and then I am going to the gym right after just right downstairs from the Taste of Anaheim to burn off all those calories I just ate!
I haven’t been out to Aneheim to dine (except for Downtown Disney), so this would be great!
i have finals next week and i’d love a moment to relax!
Thanks for commenting, Beverly. I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through such a hard time. The ticket winner will be chosen via random.org, but I’ll definitely keep you in mind if any other opportunities come up.
Thanks for the comment, Quinn! The winner will be chosen via random.org so check back on Wednesday afternoon. Best of luck on your finals.
Thanks for commenting, Jeff! You should check out Garden Walk sometime — they have lots of great dining options.
Thanks for your sweet comment! There’s definitely lots of deserving folks. I admire your self discipline about exercising!
Thanks, MaryAnne! The winner will be chosen via random.org, so check back Wednesday afternoon!
Thanks, Yvette! The winner will be chosen via random.org, so check back Wednesday afternoon. Good luck!
Thanks and good luck, JB!
Haha, you’d definitely get your money’s worth eating for 3!! Thanks for telling me about random.org – I was about to draw names from a hat because there’s so many great posts!
Very true – there’s so many great dining options in Anaheim and the surrounding area.
Sorry to hear about your leg, Wendy! What happened? Let me know if you ever need any tips on OC dining. I’m a major foodie and have tried lots of restaurants.
The winner will be chosen via random.org so check back Wednesday afternoon. 🙂
Hi, Courtney. Thank you for sharing such a personal story. Because there’s so many deserving people, the winner will be chosen via random.org because there’s no way I could choose. I wish I could give you all tickets! Check back Wednesday for the results.
On another note, if you’re having a hard time finding someone to watch your kids so you and your hubby can go out, I’d be happy to watch them for you sometime, or help you find someone to watch them. Let me know…
Thanks for the comment, Shannon! The winner will be chosen via random.org so check back Wednesday 🙂
I agree, Alex. I’m going to let random.org choose the winner. Thanks for your sweet sentiments.
Thanks, Heina. You’re definitely a deserving foodie! I’m going to let random.org choose the winner so check back Wednesday afternoon.
Haha, touche! Good luck! Check back on Wednesday.
Thanks for for comment, and sorry to hear about your pink slip. I live in CM and have been following the issues with the city. Quite sad for the employees. The winner will be chosen via random.org so I’ll keep you posted, and I’ll keep you in mind for future things as well if I learn of any free events.
I deserve to win those tickets because more than 50 restaurants will be there and I want to try their food. I have never been to taste of anaheim, although I have been to taste of newport beach before.
I went to this a few years ago and it was great. Hope I’m the lucky winner and if not whoever is make sure to wear some lose fitting clothes for all the food you are going to eat 🙂
We deserve to win because since my 2 year old was born, we have not had one single date or meal out without her. We did not have any family or friends here until recently when my in laws moved here. This would be the first time I could leave her in the hands of someone I knew loved and cared for her as much as I do. In addition, my husband works evenings from 4 pm to midnight all weekdays. our time together is limited. this coming week is his vacation week and we are looking forward to finally getting time together and exploring our new home! Winning these tickets would make it possible for a wonderful evening where as if we dont win we simply cannot afford to go. I am a culinary school graduate and grew up attending weekly lunches at Grey-stone culinary academy in napa as well as other meals at various winery’s and beautiful “foodie forums” I would enjoy and appreciate this activity perhaps a bit more then many other attendees. Please consider us for these tickets, we would really get so much out of this opportunity!
I would like to go to taste of anaheim, that would be fun to go to, but there are a lot more folks more deserving than me, so many hard luck stories, I’m just entering hopefully I can experience it once,
I would love to go to the taste of Anaheim with my 11-year old son. It would be fun to go and check this out!
Thanks, Evelyn! Keep you posted.
Thanks, Jerry! Keep you posted.
Thanks for sharing your story, Julie! I’m sorry you haven’t had a night out in so long. The winner will be chosen via random.org so I’ll definitely keep you posted!
Thanks, Christine! Check back this afternoon.
Thanks for commenting, Karoni!
