The TripAdvisor effect on the tourism industry has been nothing short of phenomenal in the past decade.

With over two hundred million reviews and opinions and counting, the world’s largest travel site with user-generated content is not to be trifled with.

TripAdvisor is just one aspect among the world of of social media and tourism.

With Facebook now home to eight hundred million monthly active users who post status updates, pictures, videos, polls and reviews on their profiles, the social behemoth has forced hotels, restaurants, and visitor centers the world over to get on board, or lose out.
