Starwood’s Preferred Guest program is a great way for frequent travelers to earn points to earn free nights at their brand hotels. Recently, this luxury hotel brand also began a Foursquare promotion offering guests additional starpoints for checking in on Foursquare.

Starwood’s Preferred Guest program is a great way for frequent travelers to earn points to earn free nights at their brand hotels (which include Westin, Sheraton, St. Regis and more).

Recently, this luxury hotel brand also began a promotion offering guests additional starpoints for checking in on Foursquare.

This a great way to both encourage people to checkin, as well as educate people about the SPG program in general. Social-savvy folks who may not have previously been aware of SPG points now are, and the increase in foursquare checkins at the properties should help increase awareness of those hotels.
