Big Train has grown to be the leading manufacturer and distributor of premium private-label gourmet beverages and powdered dairy soft-serve products for specialty coffee, foodservice and retail industries.

They serve a variety of organic options and unique flavors including the red velvet blended frap and Sereno organic chai.

They’ve done a great job embracing social media and offer the ability to subscribe, read reviews and purchase products easily straight from the Big Train Facebook page.

They also recently tied Klout in to the launch of their new Fit Frappe.

With 20 grams of protein, less than 1 gram of sugar, gluten free and only 120 calories, Fit Frappe will give you a healthy boost to power you through your day. It can be served hot, iced or blended, and comes in various flavors, such as espresso, mocha, vanilla latte, chocolate and vanilla.

This is a great strategy in that it spreads the word about the product and allows online influencers the opportunity to test them, and share their personal experiences with friends. Because this particular beverage is so unique and is appealing to a wide audience (both the coffee one as well as the health-conscious one), this is a great way to stimulate buzz and create a loyal audience around it, at a relatively low cost.

Have you tried Big Train? What did you think? I’ve sampled several products and they’re all great. I’ve even used some of the flavored powder for blended coffees as flavor for my regular coffee and it works out really well. And there’s such a huge variety of flavors they offer — it’s hard to choose a favorite!
