Cucina Enoteca’s restaurant at the Irvine Spectrum has the reputation of the Urban Kitchen Group behind it, and serves delicious food (try the pear and gorgonzola pizza!). Most importantly, it also has a large social media presence through Facebook and Twitter, especially with their Social Saturdays promotion.
Each Saturday morning, the restaurant tweets and posts on Facebook a secret password that unlocks a discount on one of their dishes during happy hour which runs from 3-6pm.
It’s such a simple concept but hugely effective. Many customers are already intrigued by the fact that the Orange County restaurant even has a weekend happy hour (which is rare), and now they can get an added discount on top of the regular deals.
Paired with Cucina Enoteca’s $5 drink infusions on Saturday, it’s really quite a steal.
Plus, by reaching out on Facebook and Twitter, the net is even bigger for potential customers to come in.
I personally have been to Cucina Enoteca on a Saturday during happy hour and used my secret password for the deal on a formaggi and salumi board. I ended up having a delicious meal at half the price compared to other restaurants nearby. And, given the fact that the restaurant was packed and had a 30 minute wait while I was there, it was evident that I wasn’t the only one taking advantage.
The restaurant’s social media presence expands much farther than Social Saturdays. In fact, it is one of the more active restaurants in the social media space that I have seen recently.
Their Twitter feed (@CucinaEnoteca) is incredibly active, and the restaurant takes the time to respond to customer questions and feedback, and often responds in real-time. Cucina Enoteca’s Facebook page frequently promotes dinner specials and other events happening at the restaurant, and lately the restaurant has been encouraging people to Instagram photos of their dining experience.
Thanks to their social media activity, Cucina Enoteca is definitely making their mark in Orange County and will definitely be a restaurant you will be hearing from in the future.
